Some useful tools are available in the software, including the following:

• An ASCII chart provides a quick reference for all 256 of ASCII codes.
• The checksum calculator is a handy tool when you are doing comm. projects, since many serial protocols use checksum (additional bytes added at the end of the data string) to check the data integrity. This is done because errors might occur during data transmission. Following calculations are available in the Checksum Calculator:
  • Bit wise Logic Calculation: AND, OR, XOR, NOT, Reverse Bit Order
  • Math Calculation: +, -, x, \, Mod
  • CRC-16 (for Modbus) calculation
• Notation converter is another useful tool for you to convert data from one notation to another.
• User notes allows users to write down their notes and save them, together with other device settings (e.g. COM port settings, Programmable buttons, Auto-response, and Macros).
