Hassle-free auto-turnaround feature
CommFront's RS485 to TTL
converters come with the auto-turnaround feature. Upon sensing a
"start bit" (a logic high "Mark" to low "Space" transition) from its
TTL data transmit line (TxD), the RS485 transceiver circuit will
automatically change the data direction so that the RS485 side is in "listening" mode, thus reducing the chance of data
collusion. The auto-turnaround feature eliminates the need of using flow
control and/or software drivers; therefore, it is very useful for
half-duplex RS485 communications.
Note: Auto-turnaround feature is not applicable to full-duplex communications such as RS232, RS422,
and TTL, because full-duplex communications consist of two channels:
TX (Transmitting) and RX (Receiving), and both channels can operate
simultaneously.

Plug-and-play with full circuit protection
